The hotel

Coutras, which stands at the confluence of the Isle ands the Dronne, 15 minutes from Libourne and 20 minutes from Saint-Emilion, renowned for its great vineyards, was the scene of a famous battle in 1587 between the Duc de Joyeuse, commanding the troops of Henry lll, and the future king of France, Henry lV, then still the Duc de Navarre.
